Little help guys, where is my coolant going and white smoke coming from?

Car drives and runs really good..better than it ever has...but when in boost and letting off it blows out quite a bit of white smoke...white smoke usually means coolant right?...I did a compression check and it's 175 across the motor and I have no leaks under the car..coolant and oil is clean as new but I just noticed I am loosing coolant somewhere...just had to add some...could I still be losing coolant on a water jacket on the head gasket but still have good compression?

Do you have a water oil coolied turbo it could be leaking it there at the seals.

Coolant lines are deleted to the turbo, just oil fed from the OFH.

Did you do a leakdown test? Sometimes a compression test won't always yield results for a bad head gasket. White smoke doesn't always mean burning coolant. A lot of the synthetic oils burn white (ask me how I know )

I would do a persure test on the system pull the plugs and see if there is any water in there.

Did you do the test correctly? I thought 164 psi was standard on 4g63's?

Pressure test the cooling system, it should tell you where the leak is coming from. Go over your engine and look for hoses that may have come loose or are leaking.

Same crap with my car, really good compression but burning coolant. It threw a bearing though, so never found out the actual issue. But in any case, I would say the headgasket. Here are a couple of threads to give you ideas.

I'm replacing the head gasket tomorrow, since it seems all the signs are pointing towards that still. Thanks guys, I will keep you updated

Make sure that the head and block mating surfaces are still okay.
