Please help me I have a DSM 1995 4G63T.
I have been using this set up for over 10 years. The engine has always been extremely quiet and the lifters never ticked.

OEM set up Except for turbo, air oil radiator like Evo
Camshaft Crower 64413-2 https://crower.com/camshafts/mitsubishi-dsm-camshaft-stage-2.html
Oil : 25W40 non-synthetic

Then added the set up
TOP LINE TPL-LIFMI6-16 Topline Revised Lifters
MAN-22125-16 Manley Performance Valve Springs: Mitsubishi Eclipse 90-99
Oil : 5W40 Full synthetic
The car has only 56k miles.
Oil pressure 30 PSI at idle Hot.

The lifters Topline Revised Lifters don't work, they hit and knock a lot

Put Original DSM lifters
Original DSM lifters don't work, knock

Dear Mr. DSM Wiseman

1 : Improper installation, like you didn't bleed the lifters well.

I don't think I did it twice carefully at the OEM and the Topline Revised Lifters

2 : You have no sufficient oil pressure/oiling issue at cylinder head for some reason.

In the cylinder head where the oil for the turbo comes out in the 1G, I installed a pressure gauge.
Cold oil 10 PSI, With the oil at 90°C 1 to 2 PSI.
What is the correct pressure for that point?

At the oil filter outlet at the same point as the dashboard pressure gauge sensor.
Cold oil 5.6 bar = 81.2 PSI with the oil at 90°C 1.92 bar = 27.84 PSI. All measurements at idle.

Do you have an aftermarket oil pressure gauge?

yes with electronic pressure transmitters 4-20 ma and digital indicators on the dashboard. See my photos please.

This thread is old. Maybe it's better you start a new thread

Yes I will do this
Thanks
Robert

This sounds something is not right. You may have forgotten to install back some lifters or pressure regulator. Or maybe something is wrong with the pressure regulator itself. Open the valve cover and check if everything is installed properly.
When at idle, remove the oil filler cap and check if cylinder #1 intake side rocker arm is jetting oil to rocker arm roller bearing and cam lobe. If the oil is not reaching to rocker arm roller bearing and cam lobe, you have oil pressure issue at head. Upload a video or pics would help us.

If you didn't bleed well, it may take some time like a few days to take away the ticking sounds.

Dear Mr. DSMPT

I changed the cylinder head screws to ARP studs with nuts
What does the head screws have to do with the head oil supply?

Look at messages 22 and 23

I didn't understand?

I think those holes next to the lifters should be spraying oil and they aren't! There is little oil in the cylinder head.

The poster of #22 #23 are talking about the oil feed port in the head bolt hole. That hole is the oil feed to the cylinder head. So yes technically if that hole is blocked for some reason, you wouldn't have oil in the head. That is located in the bolt hole at corner of cylinder #4 exhaust side, just right next the thermostat housing. But I am not so sure if he is talking was true, since stepped drilled is normal. The pic below are what they were talking about.
I see you have the 7 bolt head, what about the block? 6 bolt or 7 bolt?

Those are not the holes you expect to see oil jetting. You have to see if the holes on the rocker arms are jetting oil to cam lobe/rocker arm roller bearing like the video below. If you can see it from oil filler cap hole, then at least you have some oil pressure at the cylinder head.
If you see oil is only seeping out from the rocker arm or no oil coming out, then you have some issue.

Dear Mr.

I have the 7 bolt head, in 7 bolt block OEM motor 56K miles

It seems my issue is the ARP studs
OEM cylinder head bolts 9.34 mm dia.
ARP Studs 11.00mm Dia.
The larger diameter of the ARP studs reduces oil pressure greatly.

I put the OEM cylinder head bolts 9.34 mm dia. the pressure rose from 10 PSI to 15 PSI at idle cold oil at cylinder head.
Tomorrow I will finish the tests.
