lifters knocking/ticking

ok so ive posted a thread before asking this question some what. i asked about a noise i could hear in my engine and i assumed it was an injector knock/tick but everyone on here told me it was a lifter knock. i also had a local shop look at it and they told me it was an injector knock so i dont know who to believe. they also said i had a lifter going out and 2 injectors going out. my question is how do i change my lifters and injectors???

Don't pay $50+ for them from a dealer either. The link below has great prices. I bought mine from him and they worked great with no ticky ticky.

you should replace ALL lifters.

If you want to buy the tool, Google for "YA9970" (that's the part number). I found two places right away, one had it for $80, the other had it for $30. Considering the simplicity of the thing, you might even find it on eBay for $10 from someone who needed it for a one-time lifter replacement and sold it.

My TopLine revised lifters were $120 shipped for all 16.

If you want to save money on the lifter tool, you can use prybars and screwdrivers as I show in that lifter replacement article above. But I would have sold my soul for that tool when I was trying to get the first lifter back into the head (I finally figured out the trick with prybars, but that tool makes it child's play).

Lifter tick is very different compared to injectors. If there's one loud tick out of the four cylinders and you think it's an injector, pull the injector plug off that injector and see if it goes away. The injectors are ticky...nothing to be done...but they're not nearly as loud as lifter tick.
