lifter tick or rod knock?/boost creep (VIDEO)

i have a 3 in or 2.5in turbo back exhaust so you know i have boost creep bad. it boost at 15+ at wot it seems to be quicker when im not into WOT. i might just throw a stock :barf:exhaust back on so i can get rid of the boost creep:banghead:

Boost creep? I cant view the video its broken... Look into the how to article on modifying the WGA. Alot of problems with boost creep arise because the exhaust flapper only has 1/8inch or so of travel due to the poor design quality of the WGA. Calan explained this to me in his garage at 4am woot.

I believe it was MrPeepers who made the how to. Its kinda time consuming but its worth it in the end. It involves modifying the body and spring of the WGA and then welding an adjustable rod to allow for greater range of motion. This in turn allows the excessive exhaust gasses to be dumped when the WGA opens

yeah lifter tick.Rod knock kinda gives you that sick feeling in the pit of your stomach when you hear it......
 
tyea the funny thing is they are 3g lifters! the engine only has 6k on it to so im like WTF i guess i will be speaking with mr mark at overbore

oh and i am running 10w also royal purple,and i did run non synthic for over 3000 miles

Just a question but why is everybody including the OP running 10w-30 or 10w-40 its recommended you run 15w-50 or 20q-50 in these cars WTF
I run RotellaT or Mystik 15-50 and see 27psi at idle. I never have lifter tick with the stockers in the 2g with 140k.

How many miles do you have on the lifters? Did you install them yourself?

Personally, I wouldn't rebuild it just because of the lifter tick. Im not quite sure on this, but maybe someone else will come in and verify... Couldn't it be something else other than the lifters themselves? Camshaft (flat spot), roller rocker (loose maybe), valve stem end (maybe broken)... just some thoughts.
