Let GF drive car -- this is what happened.

Hey all, I let my GF drive my car to the lake for a family reunion like thing, so no harm there, right? wrong, she decided to drive my car on the shore a bit, and it got caught in mud.... she kept trying to back it out of there, and it's down to the axels... just tried to havr a blazer come pull it out, and the blazer got stuck because the rain the previous night made the mud worse....

anyone have any ideas on how to get my car out?

Do any of your friends have a winch to pull you from a distance. Maybe even a tow company that can deal with pulling things up from the side of the road. They are out there.


That or the TRACTOR idea.

most towing companies have winches.. hook that sucker up and pull... just connect it to a part that wont rip off. Plus if you have a towing company do it.. and they mess it up.. they get to pay for it! (film it just in case)

It's a bi*** and a half to do, but sometimes it's the only way. (and it's cheaper than paying for a tow truck)

Or get someone with a real truck out there, not a Blazer that was probably rocking street tires.

How far is it from harder ground? Living here at the beach Ive seen and tried it all. Not with my DSMs but....Boards seem to work really well if your not to far from some stiffer ground. Not to mention here at the beach there are always some sort of rednecks with there big ol trucks out there. Most of the time you can grab one of them and ask them to do it. They like to prove how much pullin power their monster has. Good luck.

Just flag down one driving by.. hell he will prolly have a chain in the back to hook it up.

tow truck dude said "not no but HELL NO" when he saw the mud

got a blazer on 44's going out later today to try, and a 88 F-250 banks supercharged going out later, it's also on 44's... and my friends toyota with a winch on front AND back.. that truck can hook up to a tree, drive out in the mud, use the front winch to hook to my car and pull it out... no way he will get stuck with his rear winch.. he's on 31's...

the old blazer was on 31's, also... i'll try to post pics .. heh.. :\

its like a contest. Which car can pull him out first. hook up to the frame itself.. find a good crossbar to grab.

just dont hook it up to like.. the bumper itself.. unless you are looking for some weight reduction.

what i'm asking is where do i hook it to? it's not like i can get down on my knees and look under the car for somewhere to hook to... i need a general idea to look.. my car is down in mud... i can't dig it out.. i can't see under it.. i need to reach into the mud to hook it up... but i don't know the underside of my car well enough to know exactly where to hook it up.. so i come here to people who don't have cars submerged in mud, and ask... please.. tell me where a good steady attach point is.. so i don't have to dig around in the mud/snow for a few hours.

preferably somewhere from the rear end

She needs to be held reliable for her actions, Right? Right. With that said, Go get you're girlfriend, Go to lowes or any hardware store and buy a shovel.Then go to the store and get her favorite drink. Take you're girlfriend to the scene.. place shovel in her hand. Have her start digging until she is sweating. This is where her favorite beverage comes into play. Drink it infront of her. spelling the rest to soften up the mud for her, have her keep digging. It is the only way to do it.
