Hey all, I let my GF drive my car to the lake for a family reunion like thing, so no harm there, right? wrong, she decided to drive my car on the shore a bit, and it got caught in mud.... she kept trying to back it out of there, and it's down to the axels... just tried to havr a blazer come pull it out, and the blazer got stuck because the rain the previous night made the mud worse....

anyone have any ideas on how to get my car out?

i've got an idea:
tie your gf's t#ts to some part of the DSM, then tie her loose cl#t to the jeep. now all you have to do is give the jeep a few more tries, and tell the b#tch to keep her screaming down. and after she pays for the tow trucks (she'd better pay!) then dump her, solely on her stupidity. if your not careful, that's what will happen to your wallet if she gets a hold of it, and that would suck  . now, just take the advice of your anger management councilor and slap her around  . finally, you get rid of her, and make it fast :thumb: .

You don't get out much, do you?

Do what I do, get a goddamned shovel and start digging.

LOL, aint that the truth. Man builds AWD for traction. Woman quickly figures out how to put themselves in a situation that cancels it's effectiveness.

LMMFAO!

Oh yeah, man up and grab a shovel and start digging. That's reson #3235432 that I don't let anyone else drive my car period.

I think you should take a shovel and start digging before you pull the car out. Make sure you have some plywood to put down before you start pulling out. Dig out enough mud and sand so that it doesn't rip off your bumpers either.

just go off work (16 hours) and now i'm going out to the place where my car is...
my GF is willing to ay for anything needed to do this, but the towtruck people were like "ahhh **** that!"

I've been stuck in mud a few times before, in a few different vehicles. Boards + a big arse truck usually does the trick everytime. You might have to dig everything out and then use some boards, then use the big trucks. Good luck man, thats why I will never let another girl touch my car. Lol my gf is too scared to even ride in my car anymore =)

you can try to put some 4by4 pieces of wood in the front of each tire if you wnat to go forward or put it behind every tire to go in reverse. This way it will give the car some sort of grip other than mud.

Find a pic on here of someone's new exhaust (from under the car) and look for stuff to hook to. I also vote for digging, sometimes with digging the car will be able to drive out under its own power, which is always a plus. The boards never really work for me, but I've never been stuck in sand. Air your tires way down, dig everything out, insert some boards, and you might be able to drive the car out on its own. If not get a bud with a truck (I'm sure any of the ones you mentioned would do, you aren't going to need Grave Digger to pull a DSM out of the beach).

Good luck, don't FUBAR anything. :thumb:

it's out... got my buddy's toyota and it pulled it out like a champ. whee.. no more of her driving my car.... i was a long way away from a car wash, and my rims were caked in mud.. had to drive 2 hours at 55mph to keep the vibration down... bleh

Tsk, tsk, tsk. This is going to run up quite the apology bill on her account. It may take a very long time to get out of that debt.

Let's see now.... where to start, where to start.... hmmm......

On the 1G the tow hook is on the front drivers side. I suggest reading your owners manual if you have it, it should have a diagram showing the location of the tow hook.

Actually because of this story I doubt too many DSMTuners will be letting their GFs take their car down for a quick spin to the beach. Congrats on getting it out, tho.

Dang, maybe it's like on the WRX, a bolt you have to screw into the bumper? I would think every car would have to have a way to be towed.

The first time I found that bolt in my trunk, I took me a minute to find where it was supposed to go :)

Good thing that you are in montana. In Cali I could never have found that many trucks. All my friends have girlie 2wd suv's :D

LOL, depends on where you are in california I guess... I would have had no problem finding a couple trucks (well, aside from the fact that I have a z71 myself...) but I was raised in Garden Valley... right below white trash redneck hills usa.... erp... I mean Georgetown ;)

Date broads that don't know how to drive stick. That's what I do. And never try to teach them how to drive stick either.

My buddy was trying to teach one to drive his Prelude. She was coming to a stop in a parking lot in front of a wall. She didn't put the car in neutral and it began to stall when she let off the clutch. So what did she do? Paniced and hit the accelerator. I think you know what happenned next.

My GF wants to learn and I told her it wasnt good for my new clutch. She said what if something were to happen to me and she needed to drive me to the Hospital... I told her I would take my chances.

I let my girlfriend drive my car..but she doesnt like to because she knows id flip if anything happened to it. (when she drove it she parked it like 3 feet away from the curb at her house).
