2G Knocking?

New to cars and this is my first one. Not very mechanically inclined just the basics. I haven’t noticed this sound before and wondering if it’s knocking or if I'm paranoid.

Been trying to figure it out for the past 30min or so, i tried listening for fuel injectors and I'm thinking that’s the sound. It also stopped making that noise out of nowhere, not sure if it'll come back or not but I'm sure it will, anything helps.

It's hard to tell from a video but to me it sounds like either the injectors firing or lash adjuster tick. Given that it went away I'm leaning more towards lash adjuster ticking. It doesn't sound like any rod knock I've heard.

Did some looking around and lash adjusters do seem to be the problem. So is this something i should attempt since im not too experienced or should i take it to a shop. I do eventually want to do all of my own work but im not sure if something like this would be a good start.

That's a great article!

If you continue to have the issue on every startup you may want to follow it but it mainly annoying if it does it on startup and goes away once the engine worms.
