Knock sensor

im currently in the process of replacing the intake manifold gasket and when I took the intake support bracket off the wire that connects to the knock sensor came off. Would I have any issues pushing the wire back in or do I need to replaced it?

I havent had any problem on my gst know on wood, but on a civic same thing happened to me i pushed it back on and even glued it still no luck I had to buy a sensor sorry

There is a way to fool it though just to get you by

IMO I would replace it rather than rigging it up or jb weld in fear of getting phantom knock

You will need to replace it if you have pulled the wire out of the back of it.

If you can see the connector inside the sensor to be able to put wire back on then the sensor is shot anyway.

I will deff replace it then. funny thing is I didnt even pull on it I was just following the harness to the sensor and it came off.

It was time to replace it anyway then. Good thing the wire fell out of it or you might have overlooked it.
