ok so i purchased a rebuilt 6bolt from karking. Everything looks good but my only concern is there is no thread for a knock sensor? What should i do??

Did they tell you if it was a NT block they used and if they installed the oil squirters if it was?

i didnt ask if it was a turbo or non turbo block. I cant see any oil squirters when i look in from the bottom. The hole is there with NO thread....

ok but what do i have do to to get my knock sensor threaded into that hole? there is no thread!!

You would have to tap that hole and make threads for the knock sensor. Like stated above you should definately talk to karking, if you got a n/t block, no oil squirters, they could have sent you a complete non turbo package.

^^^^ Agreed call them up to see if you got the right block, if all else fails tap the hole to match the threads of the knock sensor

So i called Karking and spoke with jorge. Hes the one that helped me originally. He said that they sometimes use NT blocks but regardless they always remove the oil squirters. He said "Weve been doin it that way for almost ten years" My friend purchased a rebuilt 7bolt from karking about almost 2 years ago and it runs fine to this day.

As for tappin the thread, should i take to to a machine shop or what do i need to do this myself? thanks
