is the 4g64 rear main seal housing the same as the 4g63 7 bolt?

hi guys, sorry if this has been already answered. i'm building a 7 bolt engine and i can't find the 7 bolt gasket kit ( i live in Venezuela). so i was searching the venezuelan ebay and found a Space Wagon 2.4 gasket kit and the rear main seal housing gasket looks the same as the 7 bolt RMSH. are they interchangeable? i'm also missing the oil pan gasket for the 7 bolt, can i use the one in that kit? i'll post pictures so the wisemen can tell me. thanks

The cylinder head gaskets, valve cover gaskets, intake gaskets, etc are diff as the 2.4 is SOHC not DOHC unless you find a DOHC 2.4 gasket kit.
i think i have no problem with that since i bought a 6 bolt gasket kit and i test fitted them on my block/head and worked. thank you very much!

i was planning on buying the good stuff and bringing it over, but then i had a problem with the thrust surface of the crank and with the first machine shop, so i talked with a few people and decided that i will just buy what i find here, build the engine, get the car running, and when the 7 bolt brakes just toss a 6 bolt in there and buy all the good stuff.
 
There is an issue with the 2g 7 bolt thrust bearings. The oil feed hole does not line up with the hole in the bearing shell. To prevent having a crankwalk issue you need to fix this. Have your machine shop drill a hole in your upper bearing shell to match the feed hole. This will prevent bearing wear and crankwalk.

i dont think this block is a 2g. it uses the same water pump as the 1g 6 bolt, and the head used the big intake ports. the difference being that the outer exhaust studs are bigger. but back to the point, do all 7 bolt have that problem, "1g" or 2g?

Just FYI, there is some variation in 4g6 7 bolt rear main seal housing, but it doesn't require a gasket. So actually it doesn't matter what rear main seal housing gasket comes with the kit. And oil pan doesn't require a gasket neither. You would use RTV instead.

That's a 1g 7 bolt.

Yes. Crankwalk would possibly happen on any engine, even in 6 bolt.

Crankwalk is a problem that may be caused by many factors, not only one factor. One of the most common causes is clutch related. It always possibly happens on any 4g6 but you can make it happened less by being careful about that.
