Is it worth an hour drive?

Go there with 1000 bucks. Hell its only an hour. Find everything wrong you can and point it out. Inspect it completely and lowball the hell out of them. Where im from turbo dsm's are also much more rare though so i dont know how often you find them within an hours drive.
And also point out the expense of the u haul once you get there. When i bought my gsx the owner knocked off 300 for the uhaul alone.

Sounds like it could be a potential mess or a gem. The title states "runs and drives" but the description says the engine starts and has no power? If you are bored, go check it out. Bring cash, but don't offer him $1600 for it.

It is always more fun to talk the person down, get the title, fix the quick problem in front of them, and drive home. ;)

My friend did that a few years ago. Issues holding idle and driving. Popped in a spare MAF he had, a few mins later he drove it home with no problems.

I would say its worth it. Lowball the hell out of him.

I'm with him ^^ bring like 1k in cash because cash talks everyone is greedy and getting a thousand bucks right then and there he'll ###### go for it. just remember to get a bill of sale with vin #'s the whole 9 yards hopefully he has the title in hand too! good luck!

Yeah I'm with these guys, it's def worth it. An hour drive isn't so bad. And that shell looks pretty clean, clean interior.

Never know may just be a boost leak, then it would be an awesome deal!

And yeah some 2GB Talon's came with the swirlies.

If it's AWD I would definitely drive the hour, an hour is nothing. If it's FWD, personally I'd pass it up, but if you really just want a turbo DSM, it does look very clean and would still be worth an hour drive.

Wait haha.. You were going to drive an hour away without even knowing what transmission it had?

well ask first..

I've been waiting for a returned call. I mean Sh*t it could be sold. I just caught this and have been searching for a 2gb AWD. The shell looks amazing. If it's FWD, i will probably pass, and go with this higher mileage 96 TSI AWD. Both are within an hour drive.Talon tsi awd for sale!!!

He just said he called. :toobad:

Thank you empie. I just ignored the stupid response.

The other talon you listed is a little pricey man.

I know its pricey. But i just sold my 99 GST w/110,000 in perfect condition and only received $2800. I think i can get the 96 TSI AWD for cheap then $3800. The ad states $3800 obo. I first would like to hear back from the owner of the 97 TSI.

i think its worth it. i drove 3hr and towed my 91 eclipse gsx, $900. needs new head.

I must have missed that post. Sorry for stating "stupid advice."

This forum went to complete shit with you girls and your attitudes. You both need to chill out. I'm sure you have both skipped over useful information before posting and don't say you haven't.
