i have my 95 tsi with the original motor at 135000.It runs mint no complaints but i want more power out of it.As of now it has a 16g ,650s ,wb255 ,injen intake ,full 3in exhaust ,chipped ecu for launch control and tuned on safc.i have cams but everyone keeps telling me the motors not worth it so should i ditch this motor or otherwise.....let me know

Id just do some routibe maintanve and fix all yourleaks. Do a compression trst and if your motors healthy run the hell of it.

it depends how much more power you want, if you want to go anything over 400hp your going to have to build the motor

Well more power, be more specific, that could mean rods, pistons, and cams for more power, other than that your looking at add ons, and tuning.

also with your setup you could easily upgrade to a 20g turbo and get a tune nd make alot more power

Get the supporting mods for that turbo, ie fuel, tuning, wideband, 20g youll need some bigger injectors, and a way to tune them. What are your goals, what hp are you shooting for, dont go throwing stuff on to make more power do some more research. Tonnes of information here, i would get to reading, it will help you make a decision on your set up and choices.

I'd sell the safc and get dsmlink over doing anything. Your will run better than it ever has with that safc and make more power.

400 horsepower on the stock 7 bolt has been done many times. IT all depends on how well you have it tuned really.

Im sure it has been on a 7 bolt even 6 bolt pushing it though, healthy engine, and proper tuning, and supporting mods, good to go man. Pick a tuning source to reach your goal.

thanks guys. Im looking at some things to do on it. im planing on getting a 255 fuel pump and 550cc injectors...should i go bigger? and what kind of injectors should be best?

Doesn't it already have 650cc injectors? Or where you talking about your other car? All need to start out with is eather choose safc wich just get 650cc injectors that all it can handle or get ecmlink and get like up to 1000cc that is all pump gas can handle or will idle horrible.Get a 255 fuel pump fmic 3 inch exhaust and boost gauge and wideband and turbo of your choice still loving the 16g.

No. everything's stock other than the 20g, cams, intake & that the battery is relocated to the trunk. People have been telling me that all I need is a wideband, FMIC(i have...not installed yet), boost controller, bigger injectors & fuel pump. I just want to make it a fast but reliable daily..im still a senior in highschool

Hoe much did you buy the car for? Just curious. I'm a senior in high school also. Just bought a 97 talon tsi sounds like you got a eat better deal though my trannys busted haha got it for 500

From my experience and what I have read you should go through that engine with a comb first of all and make sure things aren't rotten like hoses and make sure your rods and pistons and crank are legit. Once you do one mod with that kind of power the next day something takes a crap on you . It seems you have alot of good stuff already. I would get bigger injectors and get a new tune for starters, and If you have an ebay boost controller throw it away buy a real one its a world of difference. Your turbo should be good for around 350 plus hp so I wouldn't get a 20g right away. The power band with that is a big difference depending if you want to take off faster or not. I assume you won't be going to the track. And yes it is good to have a plan so you don't spend your money twice

Oh sorry do you have an adjustable fuel pressure regulator? I don't see it in your pic. You probably need one. The stock regulator gives like 43.5 psi not allowing much fuel for the bigger injectors , and you will need a air/fuel ratio gauge (afr). Might also want to get an aftermarket bov (blow off valve) The stock ones don't hold up to more then 12 psi very well I have read. Hope it helps a bit. Im sure some of these guys know more info to help you better.

Ok do all your maintanance first look all over the hoses, ngk bpr7es sparkplugs and nkg blue wires, gaskets, and fluids, clean up the engine bay of course.Then if there is a 20g on there I would get a 255 fuel pump, choose safc or ecmlink if get safc u can only max on 650cc injectors wich is what safc can max run and will be workable with the 20g. Other wise the ecmlink is the way to go and can run everything you throw at it. Get a fmic and 3 inch exhaust. Get a wideband installed and a boost gauge installed and a manual boost controller. That should start you out.You don't have to worry about afpr right at the moment if you want I have been runing stock fpr for 4 years but it's really up to you to get one it's not a bad thing if you get one so if your budget fits it do it.
