Is an o2 dump straight into the atmosphere appropriate for my car?

I was wondering if I should get an o2 dump to the atmosphere, would it help at lot or not a lot to be worth buying one?

I picked one up about 2 months ago. Now i'm taking it off because it's to damn loud for a daily driver . It sounds like a 2" exhaust leak under boost. I want to hear the turbo spool again.
I guess if i had boost creep maybe it would be worth it.

You must be flooring it everywhere because you should only hear it when your at or close to full boost.

I'd say go ahead and get it. i got mine 2 months ago and absolutely love it. Zero boost creep and i scare the sh*t out of ppl when racing

is it necessary if I run 18 or 20 psi on my ported 16g turbo, ported exhaust manifold and ported 16g o2 housing?

If you want the full potential of the 16g, I run 20 psi on my 14b and it feels fast as hell imagine a 16g!

Before you do anything . Do you have emissions testing where you live . And yes it is only loud when the wastegate opens . You could always lengthen the dump tube to under the car . May also save that alternator , so the extremely hot gases are not dumping on it . The best place to open it up is under bridges/underpasses and tunnels .

I suppose on a turbo like a 50trim for instance, a vented 02 wouldn't be as annoying.
But yes, its loud, gets old quick, but scares the shit out of hondas!

It will bring back bad memories when my car was loud with just a downpipe, and I drove it down the road a block and back and I got back and my older brother was yelling at me and yelling at me to get me out of the car. then I locked the doors and he kick a dent in my car. The dent is still there.

if someone kicked my car they better be in for a bad ass kicking.Im hot headed as it is i dair someone to ever mess with my car its going to be a bad day for them .Im not a bad ass by anymeans but thats my car your talkin about .Really more like anything that means alot to me.Yeah i would only get the o2 dump if your having boost creep problems.It will help alot plus porting the turbo as well.Porting alone will help gain power .But if you dont want something loud and dont have creep problems may not want to waste money on something u`ll be taking off in a day .Just what i think .

Yeah. Im just going to stick with mine stock one. I dont get mad very easily over people screwing with my cars. I have had my "friend" throw purposely throw a basketball at my bmw and chip some paint off. What a dick. Then another "friend" threw a football at my bmw. Again, peckerhead. My bmw nice too. Really nice. Oh well nothing I can do about other people. I am nice to them too. I think they are just jealous of my cars.
