Is 38mm wastegate enough for hx35?

I looked through a few threads but nothing really reflecting the exact setup im looking for info on!

That being said i have a quick guestion, (this is my brothers setup) Is a 38mm tial wastegate enough for a 7 blade hx35 with t3 mani running e85 at 30-32psi using 1000cc injectors for now, or will he need a 40mm??
Hes concerned about boost creep and unmanageable boost, will this be an issue?

Yeah, it should be fine. The more boost you run, the smaller the wastegate you need. The issue with creep is when your wastegate can't bypass enough turbine flow. This state only occurs when you are running lower boost and need the capacity to let all that air out, instead of through the turbo.

Been running a ebay 38mm on a bolt on housing can hold 10psi to redline no problemo. But usually im holding 30psi to redline.

Sounds like your injectors are maxxed out. I was running the same set-up with fic 1050s at 32-33, I was at 99-103% IDC. Not a good idea.

ya.. i was thinking 1000cc's at 30psi on e85 would more than likely max out the injectors but he had already got them, so he may not run e85 till he gets bigger injectors!

I would rather run my injectors at 100% on e85 then run pump gas at all. Its a night and day difference on higher boost levels. Keep this in mind.

agreed. Those 1000's wont cut it though.
