Interior LEDs, not gauge cluster

I'm looking to buy some LEDs to replace my dome/map lights and the light in the trunk on my 2g. Has anyone does this and know what bulbs to order? I checked the bulbs and looked online, but I haven't found what I need. Also what's a good website to order from?

i love that idea, i want to change my cluster lights and my ac component lights map lights, and under dash light , i hate that hot bulb, and my cruise control lights, might sound kinda ricey, but i would love blue, u just modivated me to go look at this ill get some searches and let u kno what i get,

ive done the gauge cluster ones and holy SHITE its so much better. Brighter when you want it brighter and perfect when you turn it down a bit. No more dull orange just an amazingly bright red!

bsbllfit7, could you post some pic of your cluster (preferably at night)? I've wanted to do this for a long time, but would like to see how it looks first.

looks AMAZING i really want to go back and do all the other lights its super bright and easy to see. It might show up a little blurry on the pictures. I took one with half of the cluster done and half stock so you can see the difference

it is a bright red color, not orangy at all and i did no modification to the gauge cluster besides slight shaving of plastic with a dremel so that it didnt have bad hot spots.

That looks so cool. My car is black too, and I plan to put red accents here and there. And that would fit so prefect with my color scheme.Which bulbs did you order for the dash? There are a bunch on that link posted.

haha im going all black with red accents too. Got a red oakley sticker on the back window. Tinted windows, going black rims with a red lip and red brembo brakes. Thinking bout painting in the words on the sides and back of the car the 16v dohc turbo ones, painting them red. I used 74-xHP3 Wedge Base LED bulb from superbrightleds.com

Haha you and I think a lot alike. I am going to have my windows tinted, I already have black rims (chrome lip though), I have my rotors painted red already going to get EBC redstuff pads, I also plan to get the lettering on the sides of my OEM twisty skirts painted red when I have them repainted and installed. I have the same headlights as you on order (also had them on my old talon). And I am planning on outlining the word "talon" on my taillight center piece in red also, the taillights are already tinted. Also planning some red under the hood too, the valve cover will be black with red lettering, I have replaced all of the yellow electrical tape from the factory with red, and maybe some wire loom too.

I cant wait to get my scheme done either. it is going to look awesome. i used to have a red talon with black accents (and roof of course) and that looked really good too. on my old talon i painted just the orange section of the taillights black and did the talon lettering bed. it looked good, here is a pic.

oh wow thanks! I didn't see that when I searched. I'm having problems matching up the part numbers you listed and what they have on their website though. Any easy way to find them?

i paid 20 dollars for the stuff to tint the tails and it took maybe 3 hours.

Not really, the website is kind of hard to navigate.

and then scroll halfway down the page to the area that says Instrument Panel and Gauge LED Wedge Base bulbs

then click on the tab that says 74 xhp3

then click see prices and buy, it will bring up a menu that says what colors you can pick and the quantity. The site is tough to navigate but this will get you there easily

So i followed the instructions, found the bulbs there wierd and green looking if im correct, so question is i want blue i think, idk if it would be to bright or look dorky but im williing to findout, question is how many bulbs do i buy i think 3 come in a order but how many DO i need to replace the whole cluster, and is does anyone know all the other bulbs in the car like ac/control bulbs i would like to match all the bulbs,

seven bulbs to do the gauge cluster, and also there is only one bulb for order. That one bulb has 3led's on it. Thats why your thinking it came as three.

i ordered 10 of the BLUE so im not sure how it will look for now im only doing the cluster, but with my extra bulbs i may get bored,

if it looks bad i will go with a new set of faces,
then everything should be fine,

while your waiting for the bulbs to come take the cluster out and start wet sanding the orange paint off of the cluster. This will allow the blue to shine through instead of it being a weird color or whatever blue and orange create i dont remember from elementary school.

Did you have to wet sand the orange off of your cluster? I was thinking that the red should overpower the orange so I wouldnt have to worry about that? I was also wondering about the other bulbs too, like the A/C control lights and the bezel lights. Are those the same asl the gauge lights?

no with the red you can just plug and play. The colors are close enough to the same to where it wont distort the color
