A while back ago I bought some red led strips, put them under the headlights. Well apparently the Texas authorites didn't like it too much. So I decided to put them where they glow ok the floorboard. I hate the stock lighting and am waiting on all my don't lights n crap like that to come in, but the little side lights( stock ones have a Orange /yellow condom lookin thing over the bulb ) were not as bright as expected. I just ran the wires to where I have a 12v socket spliced into the wiring of the factory cig lighter(mine broke ) , twisted em together, sautered them together and taped em to be safe. I'll post some pics if my decides to let me, but I'd just figure id post this to see if anyone had done something similar. It took all of maybe 30 min. Oh and ahead of time, yes I know the sautering job looks like crap, the only iron I could find was an old gas powered one that I had to constantly light, and then went up in flames in my hands. So I just used a lighter. Please post pics or direct me to some showing custom interior lighting , I'm a big fan. Thanks fellers !

It won't let me post pics on a reply, so there is pictures on my profile. I'll put some JL of them at night later.

Texas authorities aren't big fans of after market hid lights either. In my old 94 eclipse I had custom lighting. Mostly around the floorboard and under the seats. I dont jave pics though :/. If you have a system in your car you can try wiring additional lights into the app. They'll flash every time the bass hits.

The reason Texas authorities didn't like your lights is because the only approved lighting in the front of the vehicle are to be only white or amber. The rear can be only red or amber. This keeps the confusion away from whether or not a.) you're pretending to be a cop at night, b.) people know that if they see your red lights, they know if they are approaching the front or rear of your car....last thing i would want is to see headlights in front of me....
