Intake Pipe Problem

I have a 90 awd talon and my intake pipe is 3in ant not sure of the brand(came with the car). Now i bought new radiator hoses from napa and I have them installed but now when I put on my intake pipe it pushes into the lower radiator hose and squeezes it some. I know it would most likely be ok but I dont want it to. As anyone ever ran into this problem before and if so what did you do? The coupler on my intake is from lowes and I did search this but didnt find anything that goes over this and I cant post in the right forum as being a probationary member

Look through our vendors or type what size coupler you need into google and it should pop up. Those lowes couplers are thick so it doesn't surprise me it's hitting

You might have the lower radiator hose backwards, or NAPA gave you the wrong one. It shouldn't have clearance issues even with a 3" intake.

You could try one of those off-center couplers like fp sells.

I matched the napa hose up to the stock one and it is exactly the same. I thought about the coupler being the problem but just wanted to double check before ordering something incase there was a different issue. Its deffinetly not on wrong I checked that the other way was way worse. Thanks guys looks like this is just a simple fix with the correct coupler

Forced Performance Turbochargers: FP Aluminum Intake Pipe ......check the pics out on the f.p. website. its a tight fit.I can see why you want that fixed intake temps are going up. i cant find a lower hose or coupler that gives you ore room.try asking them.

fp is too step for my pockets for a coupler. Like stated a normal thinner coupler should fit and not push against the lower rad hose. It might touch it but not push against it. Ill just order a coupler and see what happens.

I have a 4" intake and don't touch on the radiator hose...
