hey guys
i just bought a 2g mas and need a 1g intake pipe thats fits 2g mas. now i searched and searched and all i can find is the dejontool or forced performance pipes. now they both sell for around $150 for the options and hardware needed. does anyone know of a cheaper pipe or solution i could use? $150 for a small pipe is rediculous if you ask me. thanks

You can always use a 2G intake pipe. It's a tight fit but it works. My car has some type of aftermarket intake (Looks like an Ebay version). The 2G setup puts the intake all the way up to the upper intercooler pipe. I also had to make my own recirculation tube because the previous owner has a cheap "vented" Bov on it.

Here's what it looks like:

Heres what I did. Took a 2g Injen and mated it to a 3" pipe. Short enough to clear anything probably except short route...We havent gotten that far yet

the stock 1g rubber pipe will work, soak it in hot water and it will fit.:thumb:

I second that if you are not looking for a performance part right now. I am a cheap bastard, so thats what I did until I get my motor broke in and swap back to the GM MAS & MAFT. But I heated it with a hairdryer instead. I couldn't see spending that much on a pipe for a couple months use.

You could look in the classifieds for a used one, or on ebay. A pipe is a pipe is a pipe IMO.
