i bought a s16g off my friend but it didnt come with the housing. how hard will it be to insall my 14b housing onto it and can you explain exactly what i would have to do or link me to an article please. thank you.

he only gave me the center section with the compressor and turbine wheel exposed so i would need to put on both housings. is this possible?

Yeah im pretty sure it is but it may require balancing which only a turbo shop can do.

No, it won't need to be balanced as the internals of the center section haven't been taken apart but it won't be a direct bolt on either. The comp cover will have to be machined out to fit the larger 16g wheel (this isn't something you can do yourself). The turbine housing will be a direct bolt on as they use the same turbine wheel but the 14b uses a smaller 6cm housing compared to the 7cm housing that a 16g turbo comes with, this will limit the top end. Might be a good idea to look for a good used 16g series comp & turbine housing as it may cost as much to machine out the 14b comp cover as a used 16 cover would go for & you don't want to be restricting the new turbo with the 6cm turbine housing.
