Injector Compatibility from 1st gen 1.8 Liter

Hello everyone,

I had a chance to pick over a 1.8 liter eclipse that had been used in a demolition derby. I wanted to get whatever spare parts that may be compatible with the 4G63t that I will eventually install into my Mighty Max truck. After I pulled many parts and got home to look into my eclipse/talon manual, I noticed that the intake manifolds are different, but before I trash those parts, I wanted to see if anyone knew if the injectors are still compatible. My hunch is no b/c most turbo engines need higher cc rated injectors. Please let me know if the injectors will be compatible, and I apologize if this has been posted elsewhere before, I did search for about 10 minutes before posting here. you are correct, nope. Another misconception is by putting 2nd gen injectors in a 1g. The computer will try to compensate for this install and it does a good job because i have talked to people who say it works, Why people do this i do not know because 2nd gen injectors are a performance down grade when putting them on a 1g. Low impedance injectors are the way to be.

Thanks for the info. I guess I'll make a few quick bucks and put the parts I can't use on ebay. Anyone need injectors, an injector harness, or distributor, intake manifolds, let me know.
