info for engine swap

Hi to all, i have a little question, i have to swap an engine on my eclipse gst turbo 1996 fwd .. as a 4g63 engine, i have found another engine.. but it is marked as a 4G63T, In fact, the valve cover the writing is different .. if you want I can send you some pictures.
do you think I might have a problem with my current ecm/ecu ?
1996 version was fitted with a 4G63 or 4G63T?

I believe they are the same motor. The "T" signifying Turbo. Some motors have different valve covers, a 4g63 should not be identified by the valve cover. Some pictures would confirm this statement. Back in the 1g days they used to build non turbo 4g63's and thats why there was a seperation in 4g63 and 4g63T. However that no longer pertains to the 2g owners as they ran 420as and 4g63'sT under their hood. (Iam aware that some spyders ran a different motor as well) Someone with greater knowledge can chime in and confirm this.

N/A Spyders came with a 4G64.

What year is the engine you found marked 4g63T?

Normally when there is a "T" at the end it is Turbo.

I am not sure about Euro spec cars, But you may have a 4G63 Non turbo.

Hi , my old engine is turbo but is marked 4g63 , and confirm that it is a turbo engine, my car is not euro , was imported from usa. is a year 1996.
I had a very serious failure..and then as I said I decided to buy another one and this is a 4G63T, it is identical to mine both as a turbo is like everything else, just change the valve cover.

as you can see the valve cover is different .. but they are both turbo ..
