Yesterday I received a free side mount intercooler , from a 95 gsx... the car had 83 k miles on it .. Im thinking about just ordering the rest that i need for a turbo car and making the car turbo sooner than i thought... would a evo316g be too much for the side mount to handle.. or will i be good up to like 10 psi.. i cant boost over 6 until i get the proper fuel mods and what not ... just wanting to konw if the intercooler will be enough...

what are you trying to put this on? that 96 talon tsi? how comes it isn't turbo already? hmm....lots of questions

but, in all truthfullness, i've seen people using a 20g on the stock sidemount, but they had a fan on the back of it

what engine's in it? the 4g63? if so, you might be able to push 6 pounds before you blow something, IMO, turbo'ing a non-turbo engine just isn't worth the cost

mno i have a 420 a and i could boost 6 lbs without any problems... if i want 8 lbs .. i need proper fuel system.. anymore and motor rebuild...

1. Car - 3k
2. Intercooler - free
3. b16g - 550
4. bov - 200
5. manifold - 300
6. Installation and piping ( buddy is cutting me a deal ) 2-300 .
total cost . - 4200-4400 ...

if i wanted a gst or gsx i would be paying more than 4 k .. i got my car for 3 k with 70,000 miles...

i'm not saying that your idea is stupid, just not the way i would go about it, "to each his own" as i would say, and good luck getting it boosted properly. I have pretty much no knowledge on the 420a, but have fun with it, and do whatever YOU want to do, don't let assholes like me discourage you

total cost 4400? just buy a star stage 2 kit for 3 grand and put it on yourself.
