Haha I looked through the thread up and down about 4 times before I realized it was in the first post. Keep us updated on how the car is. I want to try to get around 300 hp out of my car, but I need to get to 200 first :p or at least 150 LOL

Yeah Ill keep y'all updated.

Im thinking Meth injection and 25psi out of the .57 trip then upgrading to a BB turbo or getting larger compressor wheel/housing. I think I have a 10mm turbine housing which is good for my application. I honestly want to have one of the highest HP 2gnt-t's. I can and will do what it takes.

Nice I am just a few steps behind you, but I am going to be running a 57 trim t3/t4 with a .48 exhaust housing. I plan on the rebuild during or just after the summer, matters if I blow the engine, how money is, etc. 2g green nts are takin over OMG

all I need is the upgraded fuel system (I am on a walbro 255 and a vortech 12:1), the ms system and a fmic. I will be runnning a 3" turbo back. We should definetly get together sometime, I live in jersey, not TOO far from penn.

X is the good luck for me?

You have a lot of doubts of my setup.

Napkintheif do it right the first time, take it from me I have had the car for 14 months and got to drive 7 months of that time because of the motor and turbo setup.

Save your money longer and get the right parts.

Yea thats what everyones saying, I am cheaping out the turbo as much as I can, and I don't really know why. I have the money for the new part, but I look for it used so I can spend the money on something else.

After my initial turbo setup is working, I am going to slowly build up to high quality new parts and ss hoses, etc. My turbo kit so far has only cost me 389$. All I need left is the oil fittings and hose, a bov (I have a 2g plastic one, but dont know if I will use it), and a wastegate. I am thinking about a deltagate, as I have seen many for near 40-60$. An uncrushed 1g will do me fine, but I like the HKS SSQV, I may just go with that but an ebay imitation. Still got about a week to decide.

The 2g BOV sucks I had a 1g and I liked it a lot. Now I have the RS waiting to hear what that sounds like.

I doubt nobody, I'm just skeptical a lot LOL. It's all good yo, nothing against you...I'm skeptical of my own car's potential ROFL

SSQV :thumb:

SSQV is alright but Im GReddy man myself so I like the Type S and RS they sound soooo nice

everyone and their mom up here has greddy...so I took the other fork in the road hehe

Mine is the SSQV style that mike @ thestreetsource makes, it's awesome. My buddy just ordered one for his car today.

Imitation BOV's are actually pretty good there was a write up on www.2gnt.com about them and it says they hold boost pretty well. I've already got the BOV I want or Id ###### order a knock off as well.

Ok new updates.

Long block is assembled. Clutch will be on soon. I got the SPEC stage 4 can you reuse the flywheel bolts I wasn't sure if it was safe or not. They do work though we checked.

Anyways the motor will be dropped in today I will get some pics of that and also some pics of the engine on the stand.

Next week will be hooking the motor up and wiring MS. Im curious to see how long MS will take to wire. Wish me luck that everything goes well.

PICS MAN PICS...I have a bunch snapped of my reabuild...but im ganna post them and show everything when its done

You can re-use them. Once they're all on and torqued I would spin it all around and just double check the torque. Driggs said one of his came out one time and he was getting a horrible sounds, which was the teeth on the flexplate eating it up.

I assume you know that only 3 of the bolt holes on the flexplate/clutch assembly are on the same axis? One is offset a bit, so if you don't take the flex plate off you will have to hope you get it right on the first time. If not, unbolt all the bolts and spin it one bolt hole over and give it another shot. Keep doing that until you get them all in :thumb:

haha ouch. Since you said you got the flywheel on, I'm assuming that you put the clutch on as well? If not, if you can go ahead and get the flywheel off pretty quick, I would do that, and get the holes with the clutch lined up that way and mark both the clutch and flywheel. Just makes it that easy when you go to put the clutch on.

By the way. What you're calling the flywheel is actually the flexplate. The flywheel is inside the clutch system that is all rivited together. I called it the flywheel in this reply to prevent confusion, if you were unaware.

Goodluck and give us some pics already

I call that piece a ring gear LOL and yes the modular clutch is one piece. Its all good man n I'll try to get some pics up later. I hope It goes together nicely and the only thing im concerned about is MS but Ill let my mechanic handle that.

ugh bad news right before dropping the engine in a flywheel bolt snapped. It has to be drilled and tapped at a nother shop now. errr:mad:
