im new to a tsi and i need help

Hey guys and girls I'm some what new to the 93 tsi 6 bolt I have worked on a 95 GSX but i never had this trouble. By the way this is my friends car I'm just doing the work but would love to have another GSX, anyway to the point. I just put a front mount intercooler on this car with a evo3 16g and a blitz bov for some reason when the car hits 7 psi it falls on its face real, bad spit and spudder i check all the ic pipes and all the couplers are tight and there are no boost leaks that i can tell. If anyone can help it would be greatly welcomed.

i ran the car at 2000rpms and sprayed soapy water around the ic coupler and got no bubbles !!!

Build/buy a boost leak tester. Turbos only create pressure when the engine is under load, not necessarily when the engine is running fast.

The post above me is correct you won't build boost just by revving the car to 2k rpm. You need to use a proper boost leak tester. Look up how to perform the test on here. A true BLT pressurizes the system without the car running.

All you did was verify you didn't have any vacuum leaks at those spots for the most part. You need to pressurize the system to above what you will be running to be sure that air is not escaping under pressure like how it is for you.

Thats not a boost leak test. You need to pressurize them engine with a air pump. Build a leak tester and do it again
