1G Ignition Lock cylinder goes all the way and won’t spring back after crash

To keep it short and simple, I ran over a big metal block or something on the freeway and it broke my transmission and another thing we noticed was the ignition lock cylinder would go all the way to start and stay there. There’s normally a spring that brings it back. It also won’t start with the key, it will push start but the key doesn’t do anything. We already replaced the transmission but we can’t figure out the lock cylinder issue. We are probably going to start with replacing the lock cylinder but it shouldn’t be damaged so I don’t know how that would fix it. Any recommendations would be amazing

Remove your ignition switch and see if it's damaged.
