I Want Louder Exhaust!!!

Hey guys, I'm new here and got a quick question for ya. I have a 3" cat-back straight-pipe on my '97 GSX. It's throaty and deep, but I want it louder. What should I do? I was thinking of a larger, aftermarket downpipe. Maybe 3" to match the cat-back. Or should I just cut the cat altogether and weld a 3" piece from there? Or both?

put your stock dp and cat on when you go do your emision testing, and when your done, toss on 3in catless dp.
