So okay this my second dsm (98 gst) my first one got crank-walk so i got a new one i dont want to give up on my car cause i truly love it and the attention that comes with it LOL. but my car has been giving me a freeking head ache. the car is mainly stock beside an HKS SSQ bov, a cheap ebay intake, a 255phl fuel pump, HKS 3" cat-back, and k-sport supension. i keep up with the maintance of the car but its still not enought. the car idels pass 2k for no reason like when i turn it on or when i stop at a red light am guessing is the tps since i got a check engine and the data loger gave me p120. some times when i try to turn on the car the rpms drop so low that it shuts off, i let it sit for a couple of seconds and it fires up again. some one please give me some feeed back on this i cant figure out what it is.

another problem with the car is that the steering wheel shakes very violently, a friend told me i needed the inner tie rods so i go and replace the tie rod no fff-ing difference spend $40 bucks for nothing on two tie rods. am guessing the car needs an alinement or my rotors are worpt, again some one please help before i drive this car off a cliff.:banghead:

so sorry for bad spelling...

From looking at your mods list there are a few variables here that could be causing your car to start and run like it is, not just the ISC. How is your HKS SSQ bov hooked up, is it recirculating back into the intake? Your walbro 255 fuel pump could possibly be over running your stock fuel pressure regulator, I'm not saying it IS I'm just saying its a possibility. Your ISC, coolant temp sensor, or MAF going bad can all cause a funny idle as well.

Your suspension problem is easy to figure out just by getting the car up off its front wheels with a jack and check for wheel play. Grab the tire on the sides and try to move is side to side, if it moves your tie rod end is bad. Theres an outter and an inner tie rod end though, you said you only replaced the inners. If you let them go for too long it will kill your power steering rack which is a BIG headache. If it doesn't have side to side play grab the wheel on the top and bottom and try to move it, if it has play then your hub/wheel bearing needs replaced. You said you replaced the inner tie rods but you absolutely need to get an alignment after or else its still going to be jacked. If you didnt get an alignment after replacing your tie rods that would be the first thing I'd do. If your rotors are warped your brake pedal will shimmy when you hit the brakes.

thanks for the info, my bov is being vented, and i have not gotten an alingment, and the outer tie rods where replace about 3 month ago.
All your problems could be because your bov isn't recirculated back into the intake. I know it sounds crazy but you've just got to believe me, get your HKS recirc'd and see if it fixes your problem first. If not then we'll continue troubleshooting the idle.
