my track times suck. here is my set up
98 gst spyder (3420 lbs with me in it)
TDO5 18G ported and clipped
660 injectors
afc
255 pump
fmic
boost controler
3" turbo back exhaust w/ high flow cat
all other supporting mods

my times were 14.7 @104 and 14.2 @ 103
I dynoed just about 300 hp and 300 tq
both of these were at 20 psi

here are the excuses
1 no traction
2 cant drive worth a shit ( bet not too many people admit to that one)

my 60' times for bot runs were 2.5 and 2.7

whats the deal here? what do you think could be done to get a better time than this?

With 300whp you shuold definately be trapping more than 104. I trap high 103s all the time and Id be lucky to dyno 240whp. If you can get your 60' in the 2.2 range and keep your shifting fast you can get low 13s.

Mine weighed 3096 at E-town with me and a full tank of gas minus spare and jack, but with my sub and amp. (I can't use the sub so I don't carry it LOL). I weighed 170lb back then.

Don't feel bad about those times. I did the same thing at the NE Shootout after dynoing 294whp. LOL. If you're spinning in 2nd gear, it kills the whole run. Get an LSD (Quaife preferably) and a good set of tires. Then practice a few times, and you should be getting MUCH quicker times. ;) Good luck! :thumb:

that weight is full street weight meaning with me in it (200 lbs) a box with 2-12's amps, full interior, and about 1/4 tank of gas.
to be honest, i cant see me running through the gears any better from 2-4 unless I get the tranny rebuilt. the shifting through there was nice. I know that the 1's-2 shift sucked due to traction problems and I guess just not enough pratice. I might go for a bigger turbo though. Hell with no traction who cares about lag, at least the bigger turbo will geve me the option to hunt-em down after they kill me off the line.

it makes sense what your saying, but without that LSD, that bigger turbo isn't gonna help as much as you think. Sure it's gonna take less time to spool up, but when it does, boost is much stronger. I've seen FWD guys back off because of spin when there 20g hits the 20psi mark.

but what the hell do i know, i'm a fwd guy going awd because a buddy of mine took me for a ride in his.. :thumb:
