The offset/width looks nice, but 225s on a 9.5"...yeesh.

It might be a little lower when it's all back together...
What did you do to correct roll center, or are you just dealing with the negative effects (like bumpsteer)?
Damn does everyone has to quote the picture??Great looking 2g man, I like it.

Only time I have ever liked 2ga front bumpers. And lower the front more. It's really odd when there is that much gap on the front compared to the back.
And can we get more and possibly better res pics?
. Glad you guys like seeing something different. It's already too low. The biggest problem with our cars is that there are no easy remedies available for roll center when you lower it - though some have built their own solutions using taller ball joint stems and others have modified their control arms. It might look cool lowered, but it creates issues with suspension geometry and can actually make the car handle worse than when it's not lowered. That's why you'll notice that the DSMs that see the track (road course/autocross) aren't that low. General rule of thumb is that lowering it more than 1.5" will have adverse effects. I've been trying to get control arms created that will address this and will allow us to lower the cars more to handle better, but without those adverse effects. To be quite honest I've never really gotten that in depth with the car, it's never seen a track (yet) and I hardly put any miles on it in the time it was together. It's currently undergoing a... transformation.
I've never noticed any bump steer, though. The wheels are 17x8 +35 offset with 245/40/17's with K-Sport coilovers running -2.5º camber all the way around... Not too extreme of a setup.
It's definitely something I'll look into... Got any recommendations? I'm honestly not even sure if I'm going to lower it any more than in the pictures.
How much of a drop did you do with the ksports?? What are you changing now on your setup suspension wise?? Side not I've always loved your car and it's been a inspiration to my new setup. To be quite honest I've never really gotten that in depth with the car, it's never seen a track (yet) and I hardly put any miles on it in the time it was together. I'm ditching the suspension I have now shortly for a new set of coilovers, but I agree with you about the front of the car.
Once I get a day off from work I'll take my good camera out and take some better pictures of it, the camera phone doesn't do the wheels justice.
225's are pushing it with my suspension, I need to roll the fenders for more clearance. 245's are out of the question with these wheels. The 225's give me roughly a finger gap between the tire and the fender, so you can imagine what a 245/40 would do...
I was actually anticipating alot of negative comments from those pictures. Glad you guys like seeing something different.
Nice 1g up there btw...

Thanks Alex

I'm not really changing anything with the suspension other than all poly bushings, etc.
This is what the car looks like right now.

Why is there an office chair in the engine bay?
