I like stance, do you?

This site may earn a commission from merchant affiliate links, including eBay, Amazon, and others.

Technically from reading the post title, he clearly states "He likes stance" then clearly asks, "Do you?" So in turn for all these people posting pics of the stance they like in turn is not clutter or "pure trash" but in turn a response to his question. Thus, we are still ok to post anything else that has "stance we like". Sure he did ask about it also for DSM specifics, but didnt only ask for just DSMs, since he shared some himself of non DSM's. And yes it is pointless thread anyway since hellaflush is g@y ass fluck. :thumb:

:applause:

Although I don't mind seeing tucked wheels. . . anywayy for those who admire the look:

Every time someone mounts a narrow tire on a wide wheel for the "stretched" look, God kills a kitten.

DG

A lot of the terms are being used wrong and picture representing terms are wrong... stance flush the stretched tires.

And the talk of a roof rack... so the F- what it's a roof rack. Deal with it.

Also the comments to the white 1g as being ruined 99% of 1g on this site look like complete shit what the hell is wrong with this site?

As far as I know 95% tuners don't have taste what so ever that's only a handful of people who know how to play those cards.

Now hate me.

damn, i wish my FMF would of polished up that good, do you know what compound he used?

You fmf is stainless steel not aluminum FmF doesn't make a aluminum exhaust.... Garunteed it was wet sanded down with 2500 grit than steel wool than another 2500 grit sand , than a buffing wheel on the end of a electric drill moving up in compounds and it came out like that. My ka-t's valve cover looks exactly the same. THeres also a difference fyi between brushed aluminum and polished.....

I couldn't say it better myself. No ones even understand the fact that the cars that are obviously drift cars have stretched tires for a reason.....NO low profile tires wont help you slide more the lower the profile= stiffer sidewall. With skinny tires with moderate sidewalls on a wide rims creates very little resistance when trying to slide. For the idiots that think stretched tires on drift cars and think that 1g looks like poo ROFL Because i've looked at half your cars and your 1g is no where near as clean. Just happy some one said it before me.

you sir, are somewhat correct, the pipe is steel, but the silencer(what i was talking about) is aluminum

i need to pick up some high grit paper, last time i tried i did 1500, then steelwool then meguier's(sp?) polish.

I'm surprised my thread is still going XD ROFL

I've found that I like cars to look like race cars, just without the decals. So in that regard we agree - simple, understated, and performance stance looks good. I can't say I like it when the wheels are wider than the tires. They should be proportionate. The wheels/tires should sit pretty flush with the fender, as that is ideal for performance. A little bit of negative camber is fine, so long as it's necessary and not done for looks alone. If it's purely a street car, negative camber is pointless, and makes the owner look like a poser in my opinion.

Unlike some here who only like DSMs, I like all types of cars and will own all types of cars throughout my lifetime. I like simple, yet performance oriented. Sometimes I'll find that I like cars that are dropped more than they should be for performance, but that's rare. Basically, if it looks like it's being built for Touring Car or GT competition (without the crazy paint colors and sponsor decals), I'll probably like it.

that S54 Swapped E36 M3 Bimmer is looking nice. i would drive that ;)

17 pages...

...and you're out trying to fit junkyard Firebird wheels. ;)

(Try SVT Mustang wheels)

Cause I'm going for functionality. I just want the Width for the extra traction and improvement on my over all handling. I'll get some nice Aftermarket rims later on, and different bolt pattern so I'm looking around at other options. ROFL.

I think the SVT wheels are one of the only cheap 17x9" wheels out there with the right offset for our cars (something close to 27mm). But if you're able to find another, that's good too. People using those are all about functionality too.

I has 1G :) iz pretty.

that was just a test fit btw so stfu bout the zip ties in such :)

and I also like all types\makes of cars, and even like me a nice diesel truck.

but my favorites are BMW, Mitsubishi, Dodge, and Lotus.

Can I join the stance club? I wish I had my summer wheels and tires there when I did this. Just imagine a nice 17" Evo 8 wheel with a nice meaty Dunlop Start Spec on it. And ignore the dirt.

2.75" drop front. 1.875" drop rear.

It was like that for about 10 minutes before I raised it back up to a DD-able height (1.5" drop F&R).

For the record: the service scissor jack that comes with the car only fit under the pinch weld by 3/8" at the front.

I'm diggin those stockers more then the evo wheels honestly.

It's a shame really, cause I love how some of the 1G\2G wheels look with and without a little paint....they just are wide enough :(

They were cheaper than any set of steelies I could find. :D Look better too. I have some good before and after photos of them. I pulled them out of a field. ROFL

I'm going to properly prep and spray paint them again this summer. I didn't do the prep right last time, so they're all chipped up.
