Long story short I blew my cooling loop while parking after driving a mountain road. I just want to say in advance I am new to cars, but I work as a machinist so I would say I'm quite competent with using tools. I'm not sure where I should be looking, the steam came from the right side of the engine (drivers perspective). I've included some pictures. I've looked at the tubes and couldn't see anything from above, I also removed the engine air intake tube to get a better look. Before I'm going to remove something I just wanted to ask for some advice where I should look first and also where if I can get replacement stuff from a basic car store. All help is very much appreciated

More than likely you blew a coolant hose. Those in your pictures are far from ideal and should probably be replaced even if they aren't leaking (yet). Fortunately since you don't have turbo, there are far fewer hoses to diagnose.

You have the two hoses to the FIAV on the throttlebody and then the two heater hoses. With either of those, in a pinch you could use one good piece of hose and loop it from thermostat housing to the water pipe.

See the non-turbo (N/T) coolant hose diagram here: N/T Waterpipe? No coolant line provisions

You’ve got those shown and the upper and lower radiator hoses, and the heater core feed hose not shown (the return hose is shown). Then, any gaskets for mating components, including the head gasket.
Thank you! This helps me a lot

Thanks for the advice! I'm quite aware of the bad condition most of the components are in, I'm replacing most of it one after another.

You can buy/rent a cooling system pressure tester. The one I have is made by Stant. You would pressurize the system from the cap with a hand pump, and then be able to see/hear the leak.
