Hey guys, i'm trying to put my car back together and my tie rod end on the front of the car won't go on easy. The stud that is coming out and through the spindle keeps spinning when turning the nut on. Could somebody plese tell me what I need to do. I need to get the car back together in the morning and it is LATE here right now. Thanks.

take a prybar or anything solid and stick the end on the lip of the body that the splash shield bolts too.. Angle it so it rests on the top of the tie rod end, and push down while turning the nut. This should make the taper of the tierod end bite into the hole in the spindle. If that doesnt work, hit the top of the tie rod to seat it, then pry down while tightening.

Hope this helps.

careful with either of the above 2 methods not to bend the tie rod (you shouldn't but just watch out :) )
