I have 8
Without the GM maft setup Id have 6.

I have a horribly long route piping setup.
The LICP comes off the jpipe goes down into the fenderwell were the stock smic used to be ( same side the UICP travels) , but the LICP runs along the top of the fmic to reach the hotside of the front mount.

When I upgrade my core I am going to replace the entire LICP setup with a short route, or at least shorter route, which would basically be like the average FMIC setup.

I spray copper gasket spray on the pipe ends were the coupler goes on top of to try to make it a little sticker for the coupler to stay put better, and I use high quality couplers and Tbolt clamps and even running up to 25psi consistently, I havent ever had a boost leak from any of those 8 couplers since they've been there. My only boost leaks are at my TB shaft seals, and my forge bov not holding pressure well past 20 psi, in which I plan to get new seals and a Tial bov soon to fix that...

V-Band Intercooler Interconnects Z10 Motorsports

I know people will come on and say those are just v-band clamps but I already contacted the company direct and they confirmed that the clamp is mae for IC setups and will give a little. Now i'm not claiming that they give like wiggins clamps but my car will be completly gutted with solid motor mounts all the way around and a 10 point rool cage...needless to say comfort is not a worry.

Also, Vibrant performance has these v-band IC clamps. And they do have diff. sizes than 3". The only thing, they aren't o-ringed, so there is a seal to put in between/ big PITA/.

^^^ Be careful if you're using a SMIM with those clamps. You want some flex somewhere so that you aren't stressing and fatiguing the welds on the manifold.

Jake ran my same manifold with a wiggins clamps at the smim and he was ok so I think it should be ok.

Yeah when they get in 'ill take pictures but they're real badass clamps I have seen but never owned them before. I got them for 45 a set which includes two flange setups and the main clamp portion. I'm gonna have to find orings for them but that shouldn't be too hard. I'm gonna be running 3" IC piping so I got 4 3" clamps for like 207 shipped

I wouldn't use those v-band clamps on anything that uses a chassis mounted intercooler. There is just no room for engine torque to be dampened in them and, me thinks, you would wind up breaking IC piping at the welds in a short amount of time.

7 also due to gm maf, 3.5" maf is hard to fit.
