boost leak in fmic, how to fix it?

I recently did a boost leak test and found a leak in my fmic core its self.The problem is I can't see the leak. I know its coming between two bars and close to the end tank. The other post I found about a leak was to use an epoxy. Can you use any type of stop-leak or something of that nature to fix a hole I cant see? Or should I just get some epoxy of the appropriate kind and try to inject it in between the bars? My only concern was not being able to prep the surface for the epoxy since I can't really get in there.

if you really don't know where the leak is exactly, and can't see it... why not just get another core? they're fairly cheap anymore. just wondering...

You would need to weld it. I wouldn't trust using epoxy to seal a boost leak.

If it doesn't look promising, look into the VRSF FMIC or the Punishment Racing kit. Both in the same price and both are good stuff.

From the decription, I suspect that the tube to end tank weld may be defective. You need to locate exactly where the leak is. Remove the core, close it on the side that you suspect the leak is coming from. Use a peice of hose and a plastic cap of the same size and clamp it close. on the other side, use whatever you used for boost leak test and put the core under pressure. Make sure that you are not over-pressurizing the core and I suggest to keep the pressure to no more than about 20psi if you do not know its pressure rating. Immerse the suspected side inside a clean water bucket and see where the leak is coming from. You should clearly see the air bubbles coming out. Mark the exact location and repair it.
If it is the weld between the tube and end tank, you need to weld it and then retest it to see if the repair was good. In case it is a tube that has a little hole, you can simply pinch it and it may stop the leak. In either case retest to make sure the repair is good.
Another option is to take it to a radiator shop and they will test it and fix it for you.

I was curious about taking it to a radiator shop to see if they could fix it. I'm currently waiting to here back from Slowboy since it's there core. I don have a tig welder or experience to fix my core. So I'd hate to cut off my end tank and not be able to get it back on.

If the core is still under warranty, you should get it replaced. However, if it is not, you should try to repair it if it is not expensive compared to buying a new core.
Also, if the leak is on the weld of the tube to the end tank, you don't need to cut the end tank to repair it. You can remove/cut the fins around the tube at the end tank so you can have room to repair the weld. Few fins removed will not affect the cooling capacity of the core.
