How fast have you taken your eBay FMIC?

Now that the initial craze of these cheap eBay kits are over, let's post some dyno or track results. Post up the type of FMIC kit, your major mods, daily temperature, boost level, and 1/4 or dyno data. ALso if you'd like to include the max boost you've ran, how consistent, and longevity of your FMIC.

I'll start:
BB5031 turbo @ 21 psi
SAFC blue screen
SSAC big 2g FMIC kit (entire kit, just modified)
85*F all day long
1650+*F EGT's
Lots of knock up top
12.7@109 on second pass with lots of idling and NO heatsoak.

For you DSMLinkers:
BB5031 turbo @ 24.5 psi
70-90 mph run 1.97seconds
(Basically translates to a 114-117 mph trap speed, according to raw collected data)

I've had it for 3000 miles; 1000 of which was at 21 psi, 2000 of which was at or over 24.5 psi on pump. These 3000 miles were not easy ones either. The car has put the FMIC through A LOT of abuse!
 
I have the same fmic from ebay (ssautochrome, i think) and it works great. I haven't abused mine so much, but it has held up as expected. (a few minor mods were needed to make it fit my car. ie: had to order new couplers because the ones that come with the kit are 2 3/4" and are too short. That was an extra 50-60 bucks. Also, I had to cut off a 3-4" section because it was too long. That only took 5 minutes and was really easy). I am definately happy with it. I am curious to here blcknspooln's opinions as well.
 
I am completely happy with my buy. I spent 280 on the entire kit and reused everything that they supplied, but I had to hack a pipe here or there to make it work. No additional fee on my end (I did have extra tbolts and couplers, however). This core has held up to 8+ track passes with not a hint of heat soak. These were done on 70*+F days and at the end of 8 or so passes I would finally notice the UICP getting warm. Whereas on my old top/bottom 20" turbonetics FMIC, I would heatsoak on the 2nd or 3rd run. Two thumbs up for me. Granted, that's the only thing I'd ever buy from SSAC, of course.
 
I have the typical 32x12x3 ebay intercooler and its a good quality piece. With this core I ran 101mph in the 1/8 back when I was running an evo III 16g. It has withstood 30+psi on numerous occasions.
 
Ive had 2 ebay intercoolers. One was from boostcoolers back in the day 18x10x3 using a spearco core and that held up fine until i was heat soaking it. Now i have a xoxo core 32x12x3 and its withstood numerous 26psi+ runs. I usually run 20-25psi on the street and so far so good. The car a few months back broke 400whp with the intercooler so overall am very happy with it. Am just not happy with the garbage bb 57trim that i have.
 
I've seen 10.80's on street tires with a 32x12x3.5 ebay core.
 
Bought from Ebay seller Maxspeed Motorsport FMIC 31*12*3 FMIC 3" in/out, with 3" IC pipes
Went 12.97@96miles on my Old style BUP 50trim TO4e cover.
My boost felt down threw RPM band..so at 7k I was at 13PSI:mad: every gearI Hate my boost control:mad:
That day was hot like 25-28°C
18deg timing/2-3counts of knock

was on stock 7Bolt/ARP head studs/Cometic/FIC850cc/DSMlink/3"Turbo-Back

I bought the SSAC 2G kit, and I also had to make modifications to the piping, and will have to again with my new PTE-6152e set-up that just showed up...:sneaky: , went 13.21 @ 103.7 on the Evo III GT 16g pump gas and 19 psi...full weight....5000 ft DA.

Shooting for another 15-20 mph MORE in the 1/4 this year.

I fully believe it has held 20 psi so far, another 10 psi shouldn't be asking too much.

You can ask me...:mad: BTW right now checked and it was 100mph..Check up that horrible boost controll...using SBR MBC,tapped like its on their web page...maybe my WG arm is wrong tightened..I screw it to get some spring press to WG stay closed..

Time in profile on a Johnny Racecar core, and a 12.7 at 108 on pump as well (better test than a race gas run). The first big fad ebay intercooler, I believe. I bought it two years ago and installed it a year ago. It's held up just fine and seems to work well.
 
I run the 32x12x3

Ill run 10's on this intercooler..I have not heatsoaked it ever..26psi+
 
Last season I trapped 116mph running about 21psi with the ebay 24x12x3 core, currently running 30psi on pump with the same set-up with no problems, we'll see what the track brings this year. The FMIC has been on my car for about 3 years daily driven year round (cold winters, hot summers).

now I change my car for a 2g, and I just buy the ssac 2g kit, and for sure I will have good numbers with. I installed the same kit on my friend 98 GSX, he ran a 12.9 @ 112mph with his b16g, pump gas and dsmlink.

me, with my pte scm6131re, I hope to make more than 120mph with this beautiful kit :D
 
AMS is claiming that the SSA kits are making less HP than the stock Evo ICs......I have a freind with a GT35R and hes going really fast! On a ebay IC on his evo...

I would be pissed if I were them also, however I dont belive those claims. I have a friend making over 400whp in his EVO with the SSAC EVO kit. He also went 11.8@118 with the kit and the stock turbo on the SSAC FMIC Kit. He has had the kit on his car at least a year, it still looks new.
I had a Dejon kit on my car and I ruined it, I am swapping out to the SSAC FMIC core, we will see how it does. I bet I make over 500awhp on it...
 
I have not gone down the 1/4 but i have been running the intercooler for 2 years and it has been fine it has been at 25psi
 
A few months ago i went to the race track here in Puerto Rico and i was able to see the engine bay at least part of it of one of my favorite race cars "Chivy King" This is the world fastest 4 cylinder Toyota engine. He has a 3SGTE powerplant and i found out taht he also has an ebay FMIC with modified endtanks for the piping. This car has over 800whp and last season on a trip to Englishtown NJ he ran 7.20 at 182mph
