Hey guys.. i'm having a helluva time trying to install my shit..

for those that don't know *EBAY FMIC DOESN"T FIT WITH AN EXTERNAL DUMP TUBE*

basically i went from all stock Eclipse.. over night to:

Bullseye T04b V-Trim
Evo 3 flanged External Dump 02 Housing
Ebay FMIC
80mm Espelir Catback + Downpipe...

Turbo+o2 is on fine....

Cold side of the IC pipes is Fine..

The Problem is the hot side....

a) the IC pipe+ elbow is TOO long... (no big deal)

b) the REAL problem.. the IC pipe is hitting the O2's Dump Tube... I don't think a scorching hot Dump tube and an IC pipe are going to get all very well...

I don't want to Kink the IC pipe unless i really have to... and trying to redesign/re-shape the cast iron dump tube will be a night mare....

what did other ppl do?

any suggenstions?

Thanks

I have the same probably, but I'm not too concerned about it, in any case you can always get some exhaust heat wrap and wrap up your o2 dump. But yes the o2 dump being in the way pissed me off too, my piping doesn't fit right because of it.

The Dump Tube is Cast Iron

maybe i was exagerating a little hehe..

but it's Fawkin heavy steel or some sort...

If your bolt on then go pick up the ssautochrome o2 housing with dump tube it points down and back so your piping will fit. I have both a ebay fmic and the o2 housing with short route piping and it all fits just need to get it just right.

Or just cut the dumptube about 2-3 inches above the ic pipe and buy the metal flextube they sell at murrays and clamp it on and bend it behind the ic pipe.

Thanks for the help guys..

I ended up just cutting the pipe in half.. and beading the two ends.. and using a coupler to kind of "bend" my way around the dump tube..

I'll just have to wrap the pair of them in that Heat wrap tape to be on the safe side...

Instead of cutting the pipe in half, couldnt you have just took the pipe to a muffler shop and have them bend it for you? I think that would've been easier.

i did take it to a muffler shop (that's how i get the ends beaded :thumb: )

they didn't have mandrel bending equipment.. only press bending.. so i didn't want to kink the pipe...
