having trouble running the wastegate dump tube on my spyder, where should I run it out of:
1: out the hood
2: out driverside bumper
3: just straight down

no it's not only a track car it's going to be my dd, I just like the way it looks LOL

+1 ^^ I have it going up on my car and it's really loud when that wastegate opens. That and you'll get exhaust marks all over your hood and windshield. I would also consider putting a little muffler on it to quiet it down because it will still be pretty loud when pointing straight down.

How often is the wastegate open. I know under full boost so if I stay out of the gas then it should be normal sounding right

That is correct. if you have your boost set to 10 PSI, then it shouldn't open until you hit 10 PSI. You don't have to be under WOT to hit your max boost though. The wastegate might start opening a little sooner depending on your set up but it wont be as loud.
