Just woundering, How long do engines with like 500-600 whp usaly last.. I know the life of the engine isnt as long with more power, just woundering ABOUT how long they can last

Is 600 high HP anymore?
I can build a motor for under 1K that will easily support 600hp like stock. It doesn't take much when I have done it on even a stock block 35r and 40r setup..
Besides maintenance the biggest killer will be revs... If you can make that power under 8.5K your motor will be happy. The first things to go are the bearings. That normally due to high revs and heavy rod/piston combos. Those of us using lighterweight pistons and aluminum rods have noticed that bearings come out looking brand new, even when shifting at higher 9K+ RPMs.

I wonder how long that aluminum rod will last?
But to the OP, its all in the tune keeping the RPM under control.
