How long does your battery last without starting the engine?

I was just wondering with other out there. How long does you battery last with enough charge to start the car, if you don't use the car. I generally on use my car on Friday nights or during saturdays. By the following weekend the battery has run down to less than 11 volts and I need to charge the battery. Anyone in the same situation?

2 weeks should be ok I think.

One time I was on vacation for 13 days. The car just sat at the airport for that time.

It started ok when I got back. But, at that point, the battery felt like if I have to crank more than 6 or 7 times, it is going to die. Lucky for me, it started at the first crank.

May be you've got a leak somewhere in the car. I'm also a newbie. So

My mechanic won't touch anything electrical. They said I need automotive electrician.

Clarify if you have a stock battery or a 'high performance' one.

I don't know much about batteries, but like you I only drive my car on weekends, sometimes every other weekend. I have an Optima Red Top battery, and the longest I've gone without driving it was for 19 days, and the car started just fine.

Figure a month on a healthy battery, and five days off that for every year of it age.

I would say a couple months. If you have wired your aftermarket gauges and stuff up correctly so that they dont stay on while the car is off, then there shouldnt be much current drain.
