how long will battery last

just outta curiousity... how long will an average battery on full charge with no alternator last u in hr and miles wise?

if you have to have anything electrical on... like headlights, radio, wipers... not long. an even with all that off, the ecu, the fuel pump, the guages, still draw some current. Not a safe thing to be driving without an alt.

If _all_ you're running is the engine, about 70 miles. You can actually get further with an old points-and-condensor ignition, because modern electronic systems will just quit when the voltage drops far enough.

I've driven my 2000 from Candlestick Park to Napa, and I got my 200SX Turbo from Grass Valley to Galt.
