Bout as stupid as some one racing a nearly stock 420a..

If you were sane then you wouldnt race a V8 that you know you could beat.. same principal as me being "dumb" for racing a car i knew i could beat.. but i guess i had to draw that line for you...

420a's arnt as fast as you think as well..

Racing a grandma's V8 and racing a charger/challenger V8 are 2 differnt things... no one cares when you beat a 300 hp v8 in a heavy car. power to weight is clear. racing a decent v8, one with the v8 spirit is a whole nother thing.. IMO, id watch that comment, b.c most ppl would think that some one has common sence to not brag about beating a car thats cleary slow. v8 v10 w.e. Go bear an srt charger/chal or even the 5.7 in your car, then you can have some talking room.. Just sayin.. thats a pretty ricer move to talk crap like that.. infact, i had to put a cobalt owner in his place.. he has tags that say "ateurv8" or some crap.. yet .. he doesnt race b.c he wants to keep his car nice.. Obvious ricer, and obvious retard.. i smoked him in the hemi charger.. and my venge is wayy faster then my hemi.. Just saying. dont be a ricer.

Seriously. I hate when kids brag about beating a stock 305 tbi camaro or a stock 5.0. Theyre dogs stock and people think theyre the shit no matter what. For example, my friend has a stock Audi a4 1.8t and he "pulled" on a stock 5.0 and bragged about it. I was like "whoa man obviously it was stock because I whooped your cars ass in my geared and cammed only 5.0" haha. Power to weight does play a big role also. My little 5.0 had 4.10 gears, crappy b303 cam, rear control arms, Tokico shocks, and eibach springs. Also I took out the carpet which weighed almost 60 pounds, back seats and brackets about 15-20 pounds, spare tire and hatch carpet 30 pounds, smog system 50 pounds. The car weighed in at 3050lbs with me in it and ran 12.9's all day on drag radials. Pretty good for a car that dynoed at 216rwhp 280rwtq haha. I would pull on hemi chargers all day it was awesome for a pretty much stock 20 year old car. Surprisingly though an ss turbo cobalt that was "stock" I was told, smoked me. It was on the highway though LOL
 
Sane people with cars like that don't race 4bangers because they get nothing out of it. And as far as you racing a caviler(cobalt ) sounds pretty dumb to me.

This whole thread (or at least the last half of it) is dumb. Anyone "sane" that has a car worth racing is at the track... and people who spend much time at the track don't do a lot of talking about how many cylinders they have.

This thread really needs to get back on topic, or it's going to be closed.

2. That ECU has been arund along time.. you may not know "personally" anyone that has used it.. But rest assured, its been done. Its a decent ECU, but theres no scaleability.

My point was.. you dont NEED to waste your time doing "trial and error" weve done it for you.. Theres plent of posts on what works and what doesnt.. This platfom is old, and well, not many people or Companies make stuff for us any more.. so theres no "new" parts that you could try that would change the face of the 420a world. Your money feel free to waste it, just don go calling yourself a 420a Pioneer...

Yes, because the sticky's for FAQ, or hell even the whole section dedicated to turbo 420a's has worked so well. From my experience, these things normally only benefit the people who are already trying, and by trying I mean researching and using the "search" button feature.
 
i could agree with that. then perhaps these threads like this neeed to be closed and pointed at the FAQ's etc.. We really shouldnt endulge those posts when its clear the poster doesnt know how to use the search function.. but last time i talked "policy" i got in trouble.. so idk : /

The problem is, the people that usually respond to goofy beaten-to-death questions that should have been searched, are the ones who don't search themselves or are wanting to get their post count up...so it ain't gonna happen. :)

I have had to much respect for this site, but on FB when people ask me how to make 300+ Horses, I tell them "Headers, CAI, and cut off the muffler, should get you to at least +250 bro". People will do whatever anyways, hence why so many rip off products still exist with all the info out there disproving them

lets just add a very good TB spacer + Tornado intake + some Snake oil + 785,457 stickers + a HUGE wing to control all your HP

that would give you about 150 extra WHP :thumb:

moth balls in the gas tank to increase octane as well! (that actually does work, but I wouldn't recommend it)

I prefer the $2 octane booster than doing something like that... :p

the octane boost is also a scam. look up the results. when it says "raises octane by 3 points" it means literally 3 points. if you're running 93, with the booster you'll have 93.3 not worth it.
