Doing a smoky burnout is not a launch. There is more to launching than just raising the RPM and dropping the clutch.
 
Around 3.5k or 4k was not looking some times. this was when i first got my gs it had 140k in it, i did all the maintenance on it. the car seemed strong and had no problems. i don't know what the last owner did with it before me, but i would go to the strip almost every other weekend with my friends, the trans last about over a month. we would go to hone are skills:D and yes i have learned allot since then through trial and error. but now with my new trans i haven't had any problems. now my rpm's very slightly at my launches, it depends on what tires i am running but i try to keep the rpm's as low as i can, until i can get a better diff.

PS. i broke the shaft for the spider gears in half...
