Get a v-band compressor housing/boost leak tester? :hmm: :D
I really want to keep the v-band flange on the holset housing, turn it 90* and weld it to my short route pipe going to the IC.

I was joking. I meant to put v-band compressor housing inlet L O L!

INLET....bahahaha. That'd hold the dam things on!!!! :thumb:

Lol. I love you guys. Marty, Erik I have everything sealed right now between the FMIC and the rad except in the lower section as I had INTENDED to make an air dam but.. out of sight. out of mind. I was having issues with it running warm last year but only on really hot days, the other day it was like 40-50 and the car basically stayed solid around the mid 180s-190s (180 t-stat) and it was 80 yesterday.. and my car was holding at 213. I'll keep you updated. thanks much guys

My temps were 212* so I understand Joe. Are you running any blankets or thermal wrap?

Manifold blanket and the hotside has a blanket on it too. dump tube is wrapped but I can't wrap the downpipe because of where the bolts are -.-

Hehehe. One little mod an old man was doin. I am HAPPY that anyone benefited from my suggestions.
I bet you feel hella better now!!!!
:thumb:

Scoop that unused air up! Lower the turbulence under the car at high speeds also. :sneaky:

yeah makes perfect sense....gonna hafta hunt for a donor piece....what kind of clearance did you end up with.....guess it doesnt really matter if you drag a little plastic

By December 2016 (his video posting date), I had already done this mod bahahaha. :shhh::cool:

I dont mind. People STEAL my idea's all the time. :p

@Vegas smith @1990TSIAWDTALON

Bucci did something a bit different then marty did, and marty gave me the idea for this. funny though what bucci did would actually fit in front of what I did. I scrape it a bit and I'm lowered pretty hard, stock or near stock ride height cars wouldn't have many issues except maybe roadkill.

@bastarddsm these the br8es I took out gapped to .020.. that flaking.. is it detonation? I have been up and down the forums trying to find "how to read spark plugs" but it just circles me back to the faqs or broken photobucket pics... otherwise I wouldn't even bother to ask.

You are right. holy crap. I never looked at em on the laptop just on my phone and thought they looked good. smh. sorry I've got probably 20 miles on brand new plugs, would those work?

Joe, Kurt will usually want to see the sparkplug threads also, looking at the heat and how far it travels up the plug. He is very good at reading plugs! I am sure he will correct me and let you know exactly what he is looking at.
