I have it on my 99 Gs-t its fitted and works great but I keep hearing all these problems happen if you let it "blow off into the air" instead of back into the intake but I have done my research and found you can get the bypass valve will that solve the problem of the ecu reading the part?

HKS USA Standard Bypass Valve

Theres the link to what im talking about.

Instead of plugging the hole you can just recirculate your aftermarket bov into the intake. If you don't want to recirc you can plug the hole, the car might run okay and it might not. Please note that before I decided not to recirc my bov I have a wideband o2 and a logger to make sure my a/f's are right and I'm not running into any problems. I sit at 14.7 idle and 10.9-11.2 at WOT without a MAFT and without recirculating my BOV. As someone stated I think it all depends on the car, some cars are okay without recircing but some just go to hell. I would buy the injen for the stock BOV (with the bov recirc tube) then if you don't want to recirc plug the hole and later on down the line if you decide to recirc again you dont have to buy a whole new intake.

This the kit you need for your HKS bov. eBay Motors: HKS SSQV BOV Recirculation Fitting 1421-FIT001 (item 220243249973 end time Jun-12-08 21:00:42 PDT) Just follow the instructions and run some hose from the bov to the tube on the intake. If you're concerned about sound, I can hear my 1g bov and I still have the nasty rubber intake hose. It will only cost you a little extra and it's worth it to have your car running right. You're gonna have enough problems keeping your DSM running without deliberately messing things up by venting without the proper setup.

Thanks rayek so what your saying is I can just plug up the hole for the stock bov hole on the after market intake and still use the after market bov like im doing right now? then if things get rich i can buy the bypass valve or put the stick bov on?:dsm: love

Yes that is what I'm saying :). Don't make the same mistake I did. I had to buy another intake altogether since the one I got was "with aftermarket BOV". Just get the stock BOV one, then you have the choice to do either. :thumb:

I HAVE ANOTHER QUESTION IF ANYONE WOULD TO ANSWER IT. i JUST BOUGHT THE N1 DOWNPIPE AND EXHAUST BUT WHAT ABOUT THE TEST PIPE OR THE STRAIGHT PIPE OR THE HIGH-FLO CAT? WHICH ONE IS RECOMENDED AND WHAT DO THEY DO AND DO DIFFERNTLY I AM NEW TO EXHAUST SYSTEM AND WANT TO KNOW ABOUT HOW THEY WORK AND NO I HAVNT PUT THE DOWNPIPE OR THE EXHAUST ON YET
