High hp guys how often you change valve springs

I've been revving to 8500-9000+ for a few years. I changes my valvesprings every year when I do my teardown. I do drive my car 10,000+ miles every year, and bang off the limiter every day. I also use steel retainers. It's rare for titanium retainers to fail, but they do eventually if stressed enough for enough cycles.

There has to be a fatigue life of some sort. How much use did your springs have? I know @donniekak was telling me titanium retainers have a fitigue cycle limit. Do you think your retainers failed or the spring itself?

Yes, there is a very well defined fatigue life, it's called the s/n curve. The lift would be s, and rpm*time would be n. The problem is it's almost impossible to predict real valvetrain motion.

Valve springs need to be replaced when they start losing pressure at a given height.
Spring pressure is usually checked at installed height and Valve open height.
Its best not to wait until they break to replace them.

That has nothing to do with valvespring lifespan.

The guys here in Denver are not most people. 8500rpm on stock springs is no big deal around here. I was just stating the obvious that displacement alone has nothing to do with valvetrain wear.

I know displacement has nothing to do with broken spring I just don't get wtf is causing the spring to broke (not even 2 years old ) . I have finished brand new engine 2.3 vader rods wiseco hd pistons 60 miles on it and I have to replace one piston (got lackey with cylinder wall) not to mention cylinder head is a goner too . So I fill like all the company's that sale the springs should give us some idea when to replace the springs according to lift (from -to ) (rpm from -to).
