hey guys, first off i have a 8000k hid kit on my car, and for some reason last night my drivers side bulb went out, been working perfectly up to this point. well, it happend right about when i turned my radar detector (valentine one) on. Just wondering if the combo of the two cause the bulb to go or if im just over thinking it and the bulb just decided to blow right at that moment. kinda sucked cause im back on stock bulbs now til i can get a replacement bulb. So i guess my question is should i get a replacement bulb if it will just do this again? if is a fuse issue? thanks

its more than likely just happen chance, wouldn't worry about it to much.....it could have been oil on the bulb or who knows...you are running alot of juice to that bulb so it is alot less forgiving...replace it and if it pops again then you need to start running down your wires and check the grounds, power, relays and whatever else you have in there. Is your radar detector tapped into anything that the headlights would share? If so undo that and give it a whirl

thanks for the input. My radar isnt tapped into the car either, it is just hooked up using the power outlet in the car, so i doubt that would share the same circuit as the headlight. but yea, i think i will go ahead and replace it and be sure to tap holes into my dust covers so they can go back on the housings...im thinking something got on the bulb like you said seeing as how i wansnt using the covers anymore. thanks again
