On my talon, when i'm on the highway and i go to accelorate, the whole entire car shakes. it feels like it's going to fall apart! but it's only when i'm accelerating over 60mph. i've replace my brakes, tie rods, and wheel bearings. anyone have any ideas what it can be?

is it awd..if so it is probably your driveshaft is bent

I agree my car did the same thing when I first got it.... its an easy fix

ditto on getting wheels balanced...a good way to tell is if you accelerate to 60mph and it shakes does it quiet back down if you do 80-85mph? thats how you can tell if your wheels are balanced correctly or not

Hey! one more from CT, welcome! I agree on the tire balancing. Dont take it the wrong way but also make sure your wheels arent loose or something. Never hurts to check but may hurt(permanently) if you dont.

I agree, bent rim or tire out of balance. Do you feel it in the steering wheel or does just the car body shake?

I had a similar experience that turned out to be the inner cv joint on the drivers side cv axle. For a while it only shook while accelerating. I had my tires balance with no luck obviously. I thought it was my drive shaft joints going out from the way it felt. One day driving down the highway the cv joint finally busted so that even normal driving was car-shaking. Fortunately it allowed me to pin point the issue. So if the tire balancing doesnt work, a look a the the cv axles may help.
