Ok so let's see if anyone can shed some light on this. I got my link set up and can't seem to get the car to run right. I can get it to idle fine but then once i put any load on the engine it dies. Also, I am tuning using my wideband so that the afr is about 12:1. Also, I'm having to lean out way too much. I'm only running 450's at stock fp and i'm having to lean globaly like 45%, then on top of that having to lean out the 0-1500rpm range another 40%!!!! I'd post logs but how do i get them into a number format...sorry i'm new to link..can you tell. :dsm:

Why dont you post on the dsmlink forum? You didnt pay all that money for nothing. They provide top notch support on the forum aslo. Also you can just post the dat files on there and they can few them just fine on there. I would zero everything out though before you lean you car out that much and damage something.

What is your chip calibrated for? If your only running 450's which is stock and your chip is for say 550's, you will need to do an adjustment to the deadtime as well as tweak your global (which will most likely be positive if your inj size is greater than 550 on the chip). It's really not hard to get it setup correctly. Also, did you make sure to swap your wires to the correct cylinders?

why are you leaning the car out so much on stock injectors? thats your problem

The chip is for 450s. Or should I say it's supposed to be. And i didn't just go...well i'll just lean it out 40%..i started at the top 0% and worked my way down by 5%. Using the front o2 and my wideband..and that's where it ends up...

WTF?!?!

If you have 450's, your deadtime and global shold be zeroed out.

Why not just verify the injector/fuel settings yourself? There are 2 PDF documents that will provide you with more than enough information to get your car running nicely. (Tuning a 2G DSM and DSMLink Users Manual) I highly recommend you read both of those documents.

450's set at -45% global and then taking out an additional 40% at WOT? WTF Zero everything out...especially your global and WOT fuel trims before you blow the engine.

You should post your issue here: http://www.dsmlink.com/forums Good luck.

I've downloaded, printed, and read both of the documents you speak of. And have followed everything. I'm used to tuning Gm cars with LS1edit, so i'm not too worried about blowing me engine, I'm just wondering why i'd have to lean them out so much, like I said i'm using my wideband and everything so...

By the way how do I register for the dsmlink forums..everytime i click register it says that the admin has turned it off...do i have to call them or something?

Your post is contradicting. One of the documents can only be downloaded within the DSMLink forum which means you'd have to be a member. At any rate, your not trying to hard to get in touch with these guys. http://www.dsmlink.com CLICK ON CONTACT

You should sign up on the DSMLink forum, download and read the 2nd PDF document and post DSMLINK questions there.
