Go back to autozone and tell them that you want a felpro 61001 . I found it right on their website. Who ever you talked to is a moron.

Sorry it took me so long to report but my idle is no longer high the gasket fixed that.
My IAC is going gonna replace that soon, but now I have a different problem I need assistance with.

When my car is at idle it makes a loud rattle type noise but I give it some gas and it goes away completely and it runs just fine so I'm pretty stumped on what it could be someone please help me :p

front of the block? The block itself? The throttle body? Just saying my car now makes a noise isn't enough information.

I'm not sure I can't really pin point the source I'm going to be taking video of it and hopefully someone can help me...is it possible to post videos on this forum or do I have to use an external site like YouTube?

Press on the clutch pedal and I'll bet it magically goes away ;)

No it doesn't :p

It only goes away when I give it some gas, it goes away around 1500+ rpm. It sounds like it is coming from the passenger side of the car like the pulleys area.

Anyone have any idea what might be going on? It only rattles at idle under 1500rpm then I drive and sound is gone completely

Ouch, too bad.

Ok, so you have it isolated to the other side of the engine. Let's hope its not the idler pulleys for your timing belt. You got a lot happening on that side; alternator, timing belt, AC, power steering, stupid power steering/AC adjuster, water pump.

If you can post a Youtube vid and link to here that may be helpful.

yea i would of loved if it was a throw out bearing it wouldn't have been much of an issue.

It sounds as if the rattle is coming from behind the timing belt cover, i'm going to assume that it's the timing idler pulleys?

It's just really weird that I accelerate and it goes away.

I will be posting a video later on today or early tomorrow (as I am at work)

Listening to that bro.. jsut my two cents.. if you remove the inspection plate and there is no dust from the belt rubbing.. it culd be taht some of the bolts that hold the cover may have vibrated loose so not its rattling...

The what plate? Could you elaborate please?

the timing cover has that little plate right in the middle at the top.. its held by a i want to say its a 8mm bolt... its right there in front of the cover.. where the cams and timing belt is..

Oh, I would've never thought to call it that but I know what you're referring to, but it seems that the belt isn't rubbing against it I've checked that just in case it was rubbing

edit: how would I check for loose bolts?

if you push on the cover at idle does it go away or does it still rattle as loud??

It keeps rattling, sounds a little bit better but nothing significant

if you can.. id pull the tire off and check all the bolts yo can see from the outer cover.. make sure they are all tight.. the inter cover also has bolts that hold it but those you will ne be able to get to unless you pull the cover and it will still be hard to get to some of them...LOL but check those... you cant pull the outer cover all the way off unless you lift the motor a bit and remove the side mount.. its a pain in the butt but check the outter.. you never know... might be cracked..

Can you show me a picture of what exactly i'm supposed to be looking at.
I will check what needs to be checked shortly if i know what i'm supposed to be looking at

IM me your number bro ill call you...

my buddy just came over and is helping me check

edit: he says everything checks out, and that the rattle noise seems to be coming from behind the timing cover towards the top not the very top kinda in the middle. (he's weird but it's "fresh ears" I guess)

hate to suggest it.. but if he thinks it is coming from there... you have the water pump and 2 pullies behind the cover... if the cams arnt touching the cover at all... then it could be a pully is loose and tahts not a good thing... its holding tention on the belt....

So, I could be looking at replacing the idler and tensioner pulley? along with water pump and timing belt?

depends on what it is.. IF its just a pully bolt loose then its just tigtening it up before anything happens..

Im not saying it is... but IF it is something under the cover and it lets go.. the belt looses tention.. and poof timing is shot and could bend valves... IF its something loose from behind the cover...

If you can remove the cover just to check i would.. but its not a quick check so you know...
