Can anyone help? What is this part?

I'm working on a 1998 Eagle Talon 2.0 Liter 420A engine. Doing a timing belt and had to drill through the frame and accidentally hit this pipe. Is this a EGR pipe/vacuum? And can anyone provide any information on where to buy one?

Do you know were I can buy this at ?Drilling the hole in frame to get the motor mount bolts out(timing belt) ,the drill went all the way through and got it.

find it at a junk yard in your town. or you could have someone cut and weld it back together depending on where you drilled through.

All man i don't want to here that. can i cut it and use a rubber hose.Can i get this from a dodge dealer.

yea you can get away with that use fuel hose not silicone hose and use good clams

That'll work. Nothing really high pressure in there, just low pressure explosive fuel vapors.

+1 Silicone will collapse. If VA doesn't have emissions testing, I'd scrap the whole system...

I was wondering the same! OP if you removed the pass motor mount (the 2 nuts and 1 bolt on top and 1 bolt into the subframe) puta jack under the oil pan with nessasary supports to not cave in the pan. then remove the front and back roll stops and loosen the drivers side a little you can then lower the jack and the engine and tranny will swivel down jus be careful of axles ect.

the car was driving up a hill at 35mph when the timing belt broke. So thanks for all the help but now since i know that the values might be bad i think i am done working on this .

the roll stops are the front and rear motor mounts on the transmission. cant miss em.

Part out time! And I am sure the valves are bent. 99% of the time when people on here break timing belts the valves are usually bent (maybe only a few).

But you will be looking at more money then just a timing belt. You could always do a leak down test.

I believe you can rent the tool from advanced auto.

But take all 4 spark plugs out and screw in the tool.
Pressurize the cylinder with compressed air from a compressor and see if the pressure drops a lot. Listen for the air and where its comming out. If you can here it comming out the intake or exhaust then it's a sign of bent valves.

I have a good 420a head besides it being warped. I'm dying to get rid of all these 420a parts. got burned helping a guy that had one. put a perfect head on his car. after months of keeping the car I finally gave it to him so he would have something to get a job with never seen.him again. don't want to see,these,parts anymore . pm if any interest.
